My education and experience in art, architecture and interior design, along with my love for cooking and great food, all inspire my kitchen, bath and interior designs.
I embrace the challenge of adding an element of surprise in each space. Emeril Lagasse would call it the “BAM!” — the something that’s different and unexpected. I am rewarded each day knowing that I enrich peoples’ lives by enhancing their space with individual style and increased functionality.
SUSAN PALMQUIST, CKD
Susan has the innate ability to take a client’s vision and turn it into reality. Her natural gift for space development, eye for detail, conscientiousness, and impeccable quality standards pervade each and every project she engages in. Susan loves to cook, entertain, and travel, and uses these pastimes to bring the latest techniques and ideas to her clients. She goes above and beyond the call of duty for customers and colleagues to build rapport and respect. Her charisma and hospitable personality usually turns clients into friends and family.
Susan’s expertise in kitchen, bathroom, and home remodeling has been recognized by outstanding achievements in her field and numerous awards. She has a degree in Interior Design and studied Art.
LAURIE BUTLER, CKD
Laurie’s synergistic approach to design means using all available resources for her clients- including the finest materials, latest techniques, colors and textures- to create a dream space for her clients. She instinctively knows how to coordinate and facilitate a stylish space that her clients will love to live and work in.
In addition to her excellent client service and down-to-earth personality, clients and colleagues can count on Laurie to get the job done right. Laurie has the ability to immediately bond with people, and you quickly sense her integrity, warmth enthusiasm. Having grown up in the kitchen & bath industry, Laurie brings solid experience, knowledge, and an appreciation for her profession that is apparent in her work.
EUGENE SONGWON, AKBD
Eugene joined the Sawhill team full time after completing her internship with them. She has a bachelor’s degree in Clothing & Textiles from Ewha Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea. She also received her Kitchen & Bath Designing Certificate from Century College in 2005.
As Sawhill’s Design Assistant, Eugene’s attention to detail ensures that every client’s design is represented with the level of integrity, workmanship, and precision that Sawhill is known for. Eugene’s easygoing style and meticulous approach to her work make her invaluable to colleagues and clients.
Eugene and her husband recently moved to Minneapolis. Outside the office Eugene enjoys running, swimming, and golfing.
TIM ADEN, CMKBD
Tim is the glue that holds every Sawhill project together. Tim’s experience as a former carpenter, project coordinator, and Kitchen & Bath Designer has provided him with the tools necessary to assist the Sawhill designers with every aspect of the client’s project. From the broad plan to the smallest detail, he ensures that every Sawhill finished product is absolutely perfect for the client. His vast knowledge of the industry, business sense, and personal integrity win your respect. His good natured personality, easygoing style, and sense of humor make him a pleasure to work with.
